Who We Are

Our Roots

High school students who do not have immediate family members that went to a four-year undergraduate institution in the U.S. often have trouble navigating their way through the college application process. We here at Project COG want to close the institutional gap of students unable to pursue higher education due to constraints in resources and guidance. Our goal is to match disadvantaged high school students with current University of Maryland, College Park students who have successfully completed the application process and were admitted to UMD. These mentors will function as guides for the high school students throughout the entire college application process entirely for free.
